Day 38
Scripture:
"They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." (Acts 2:42-47)
Devotional:
In Acts 2, the early church experienced tremendous growth because the believers committed themselves to teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. As a result, the Lord added to their number daily. Similarly, if we desire for our church to have a greater impact on our community, we cannot rely solely on our own strength or strategies—we must depend on God’s power. When we commit to teaching and preaching God’s Word, bearing witness to Christ’s life, and seeking God’s guidance through prayer, He will use us to make a greater impact for His glory.
Prayer: Praying for a Greater Impact for God
Heavenly Father, You have blessed us in so many ways, allowing us to be a part of this church and participate in Your gospel mission. As we unite and dedicate ourselves to serving You, help us to see the fruit of our labor. Guide us to maximize our church’s potential so that we can reach more people and make a meaningful impact for Your kingdom. Guard our hearts so that we serve for Your glory alone, not for personal recognition or achievement. May the world see through us a church that honors and glorifies You. Amen!
