Day 36
Scripture:
"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)
Message:
Sometimes, we secretly envy other churches for the resources they have, wishing we had the same. Their well-equipped facilities enable them to carry out ministries that we cannot. Their abundance of talented people allows their congregation to develop programs that we struggle to implement.
If we think this way, we may be falling into the sin of covetousness, as warned in the Ten Commandments. God does not want us to focus on what other churches have; He wants us to focus on His calling for our church and the resources He has given us.
When God called Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, Moses doubted his abilities and felt inadequate for the task. But God used what Moses already had—a simple staff—to accomplish great miracles. Likewise, we should reflect on what God has already placed in our hands. It may not seem like much, but in God's hands, it is more than enough to fulfill His mission.
Prayer: Praying for a Heart of Contentment
Heavenly Father, thank You for the resources You have given to our church. Though we often feel we lack what we need to fulfill Your mission, we trust that You can use what we have for Your glory. Help us be content and inspire us with creativity and passion to serve, making the most of what You have entrusted to us for the expansion of Your kingdom. Amen!
