Morning Prayer

John 4:23-24
“The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

First Prayer
O Lord, open our lips. And our mouths shall proclaim your praise.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.  Amen. (Hallelujah.)
O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.  Amen. (Hallelujah.)

Confession of Sin
Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed,
by what we have done, and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole hearts;
we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.
We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.
For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us;
that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Personal Requests

Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be your name;
Your kingdom come; your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven;
Give us today your daily bread;
And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us;
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory,
forever and ever. Amen.
